The iDFQL (Interactive Data Flow Query Language) is a query-based tool to support the teaching/learning of relational algebra by using the flow diagram approach. The iDFQL tool allows students to build and execute relational algebra queries using graphical elements interactively, making learning relational algebra concepts easier to students.
The iDFQL tool is a visual query system based on the hybrid paradigm (uses icons and flow diagram) development to support the DFQL language that is based in relational algebra. The main difference of iDFQL to other tools is the use of an icon-based paradigm and data flow approach to create diagram that represents a query.
