This is managing the resources needed to ensure that a project is finished on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of the end user. Project managers use tools such as PERT and Gantt charts for scheduling all the tasks that need to be completed. They are conscious of managing time, scope and resources for a project.

WebAPSEE
WebAPSEE is an environment for the development of Focus on Software Process (PSEE - Process-Centered Software Engineering Environment) as developed by the Free Software LABES-UFPA. The environment has as main purpose to meet organizational requirements to assist in the coordination of activities related to the development of software.
The growing demand of organizations for the development of software and consumer market decisively influence in the management of projects. The development of the current PSEEs requires the integration of several tools directed to the following areas:
Aid modeling of processes second multiple different perspectives;
Aid in the allocation of people and resources to processes;
Aid monitoring of the implementation of processes (for example, by monitoring events and display the proper state of the process);
Distribution of information to support the new structures of the outsourcing market;
Integration of the environment with other tools to support the development of software.
