MTK takes the four primary monitors from XRG (CPU, Memory, Network, and Disk) and separates them into separate code plugins. These plugins can be used directly in any other application released under the GPL license. Furthermore, MTK includes a command-line application to gather statistics from any individual MTK plugin (or multiple plugins) and output them in CSV format. This allows the data to be manipulated and imported into other applications that don't support MTK directly.
