Extract/Transform/Load: This is the process of extracting data from their operational data sources or external data sources, transforming the data which includes cleansing, aggregation, summarization, integration, as well as basic transformation and loading the data into some form of the data warehouse (ODS, enterprise data warehouse, data mart). ETL can also refer to the vendor software that performs these processes.

netflux aims to be an ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) tool providing the following:
netflux core - A set of core classes that may be used programatically to be embedded in any application, letting you to extract data from several sources, transform that data in metadata controlled data flows, and load that data into several kinds of sinks.
netflux server - A server able to run ETL processes, either on demand or in batch mode, letting you to automate those ETL processes.
netflux gui - A graphical tool able to edit and run ETL processes, either standalone or connected to a netflux server.
