3D Graphics, Animation, Rendering
3D computer graphics are different from 2D computer graphics in that a three-dimensional representation of geometric data is stored in the computer for the purposes of performing calculations and rendering 2D images.
Rendering is the final process of creating the actual 2D image or animation from the prepared scene. This can be compared to taking a photo or filming the scene after the setup is finished in real life.

cadtools
cadtools is an open-source 3D computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) toolkit. The aim of the project is to develop an easy-to-use parametric, feature-based solid modeler with a generic geometrical constraint solver sufficiently robust for real-time mechanical simulations over complex assemblies.
We are using the Agar GUI library and the FreeSG 3D engine. Both cadtools and the libraries it uses are available under a BSD license, which will make cadtools particularly suitable for integration into commercial products, such as CNC machinery.
The CAM part of cadtools provides a client interface to the machctl daemon for controlling machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines.
